A lot of them were obnoxious, attention whores, eceleb wannabes etc. who dominated stream 1 pretty much with fake game shows. It feels a lot more speedrun focused now they're gone, with some fun segments still in here and there.
And now a lot of new blood and smaller runners have gotten a chance to actually get on the schedule or do more than one run and its cool to see. These new runners seem a lot less obnoxious and have annoyed me less than the old guard. Of course, Skenmy is still around like a bad rash but you can't win them all.
However, I can see them getting obnoxious and attention whorey if they're cliqueing up and it all goes to their head, but for now I like their runs, they've been fun, and there's not been a runner this entire event where I've thought "SHUT THE FUCK UP!"

Really the only thing that attracts casuals and big money these days are those gimmicky runs, because regular runs don't have the "wow factor" to the average Twitch viewer that they used to. So I don't think they'll leave, in fact they'll increase. The only other thing that creates some peaks is if they get a well known runner with a good following, or they run a popular game/flavor of the month game.
