It's an asinine and incredibly badly written lead in to the reveal that you're Revan. Some guy he's just met and survived a near death experience with is not responsible for, or related to, what happened to Telos.

It would be okay if he was just unsettled by the thought of the Sith doing the same thing to Taris while he's on it but no, it's that he's got bad feelings about you specifically and Telos is his justification.
