Like the other anons said, play CoC first then CoV. A lot of the content is shared between the campaigns, but the story goes a bit differently, and there's a handful of unique areas, side quests and other shit for each playthrough. Several plot beats in CoV come completely out of the left field unless you've played through CoC first.

CoC's biggest weakness in terms of plot I'd say is that it's very light on characterizing anyone compared to CoV, which has a lot more character interactions and better drama.

Do you guys know of any good zombie games?
I want a zombie game that is like DayZ, Zomboid, How to Survive, Last Stand:Aftermath and State of Decay combined.
All of those games in and of themselves lack something that I want from a zombie game.

-DayZ has incredible, immersive world, but it's PvP only AND the base building is slow and worthless and there's no real objective outside of survival.
-Zomboid has tons of great systems but is the clunkiest piece of shit to navigate, the top down perspective is also a negative, but if the game nailed everything else, the perspective wouldn't matter.
-Last Stand was just an action game with no survival or base building.
-How to Survive's base building was incredibly lackluster and the perspective was a negative as well.
-State of Decay is almost there with what I want from such a game, but it's very arcadey in its approach, the world doesn't have its own life as it all revolves around your involvement, full of busywork akin to ubisoft towers and not much basebuilding, just claiming areas where you have lifeless doll NPC's roaming around.

One game that stood out was SurrounDead, but it's early access, and it's missing the few things I'd want in a zombie game, like recruiting NPC's to your built bases.
Another game I've been interested in is 7 Days to Die, but I can't tell at all whether it'd fit the bill.

I need to reduce this to under $19.10
Please help.

Neva looks great, how would your rate it? You might like slay the princess it's about 8 hours but it's more of a visual novel than a game. Yeah, there are two Bloodstained universe enemies. Bloodless is an optional hidden boss and the laser shooting turtle you fight in the ice cave in one of the two RotM games (don't remember which one, they kind of blur together) is a rare enemy you can defeat for a lot of gold. Depends on what you mean by good. The story is pretty cliche, but if you like the typical deckbuilder rouguelite, it's a lot of fun. The game's unique system can be a huge pain to some, especially those who dislike being at low hp all the time. The game gets a lot more fun once you unlock most of the chars and you can start experimenting with all sorts of insane comps and shit.

It's a roguelite, so yes by default but it's very light. The characters themselves or the skills you can get don't get any better, but you can unlock more equipments/artifacts that boost specific characters or the entire party. Most of them aren't hugely helpful, so it'll be mostly just you learning and getting better as you bash your face in and READ A LOT.

So far the only historical lows for games on my radar are Recettear and Kerbal Space Program. There's a bunch of battlefield games for like $2 but my understanding is that those games are all about the multiplayer and I imagine hardly anyone plays them anymore.

lunacid is quite good until the end. Basically it gives you a few different routes to one location then is linear after that. It has some interesting immersive sim qualities for instance you can min max into jump and just jump around and find secrets or shoot everything from afar.
