Working scheduling at a speedrunning event is a really finnicky and stressful job. You'll accept a run and then they'll drop out, sometimes the day before or the day of their run. Stuff like they can't make it, they changed their minds, they're ill, they're having panic attacks, or they pull a Macbat and vanish off the face of the earth. You spend most of the event running around the event hall looking for people who's run is up next because they're unprepared, or you're running desperately trying to find someone to fill a slot with a last minute run. Its why as a scheduler you should always have backup runs, and backups of those backups. A speedrun event schedule is always constantly changing and never set, even as the event currently goes on. No wonder Das quit that shit.

Pretty much, if you look at the schedule all graveyard hours runs are really long runs, usually JRPGs. Just to fill time. Its their workaround IMO for the no 24 hours. Throwing on a really long run that fills up time for the whole night allows more runners to sleep since only the one runner needs to be up, and less tech crew to switch. etc. It's the best of both worlds, they get the rest they want from no 24 hours but then get to keep the 24 hours up. They get to have JRPGs on for the JRPG fans but they don't fill up the prime time as much.

Friday seems pretty interesting though as stream 1 is full of really short runs, usually 20 mins.
