Its unique.
The whole shtick of the game is its a chore to traverse to the location, so there is the initial fun of you traversing and solving puzzles with the tools the game gives you then when you get to the place you log into the network and have access to all the cool shit others put there, seeing better traversal routes etc that others did, making going back there easier and more economical, then when you have delivered enough shit to the location you get rewards that make traversal to the next place easier. Rinse repeat.
By the end of it all people like what is helpful and shit that is not helpful dies to the rainfall, so eventually the world will end up being a cluster of cool ways to get from A-Z all community made.
That is the fun of the game. Everything else is mediocre, and the story is absolute dogshit spouted from the mind of a retard.
Idk how the game does it though but it doesnt just leave all the cool shit in the world, it only leaves shit that people liked or put resources towards, which helps it not die from the rainfall.
So even if you play it now you will still find shit people who played it recently left in the world.
Its a strange experience really.
