The funny thing about bloodlines is it has some effects no other CV used to add some spice to stages, even though they didn't really need it.

It mainly highlights that reason older games were difficult was because the control responsiveness was complete ass.
To be fair though, most "difficult" games are only difficult because the controls/animations are bad and that stretches back the early days of game design. You beat those games in spite of the shit controls and feel accomplished. Same as retards feeling good about beating Dark Souls with a guitar controller.
