By also having hobbies/interests that aren't interactive children's toys. If you come here, chances are you spend way too much time playing/thinking about vidya.
Work a job, have sex with your wife, contribute to raising your kids.
You'll like the moments where you have time to play games again.

>>714364089 (OP)I was part of a videogame club and brought a modded PS2 and most recently a PS1 classic. I also brought my Switch + laptop. I went for years and often joked "I just bring the games, I don't play them." I often just disappeared to drink, have dinner, play mahjong, or meet up with friends. I knew a few others in their late 20's and 30's who basically just treated the videogame club as their "gaming day" of the week. As the weeks and months went on, people would finish entire playthroughs of games solely by only playing it one day a week. It was their way of getting out the house, enjoying a game with friends, and keeping their interest fresh. It was certainly better than just waking up and playing games alone for hours on a weekend (or weekday if you are NEET).
I was too tired for even that and just settled into reading and studying while I do some light afkable gaming. Games don't interest me. I'm actually just fishing in FFXI Horizon while doing some reading. I read 2 books a week (1 light reading book, one "heavy" reading book), study Japanese and my business course everyday, and just meander around in FFXI being talkative and fishing. I find it peaceful and enjoyable in that respect.

>>714366730No, the idler games require close to no commitment, I can watch streams, read, draw, I can do anything while progressing in the game. Furthermore, playing regular games is no fun for me. I get bored in a matter of minutes, it feels pointless and like a waste of time. an absence of meaning can be pretty destructive and you'll try to get it, but not getting it will fatigue you.
I dunno what to tell you to mitigate that, you have to find it yourself.
If it helps, I am atm also unemployed and I have started developing a game and I started lifting weights again.
the former gives me a purpose and an important goal, the latter keeps me fit and feeling strong and confident.

I stopped because worrying about Idleshit progress in the background made everything stressful and I couldn't focus on anything, even watching anime, every 5 minutes I felt compelled to alttab and check the idleshit
I genuinely think playing this sort of games will at best be something you barely pay attention to, at which point you should ask yourself why are you even playing this if you only remember to check in once a day to see number go up, and at worst worsen any attention span issues you have

>>714368261Ok, so you like this job so you would do it for free? Because if not, you actualy dont like it so much - money is a bigest factor. Ask yourself, if you could choose how much time do you want to spend in job and there wouldnt be any corelated changes to your pay, would you still work 40h/5 or whatever you work atm?
I have mostly laid back job, at times its boring or a bit to formulatic for me, but it pays well for what im doing. Still i hate that I waste so much time in it, even if i can say that i overal like this job.
Its my time and I have a dozen of things that I would do instead, like playing, reading, hiking, sexing, watching movies, biking, swiming and so on.
Jobs robs you out of 1/4-1/3 of your adults life time, you can "like it" but you basicly trade your time for money. >>714364089 (OP)On the one hand I'm glad someone revived this thread, because gaming is rough in your 30s if you've firsthand witnessed the peak of gaming, it's sellout phase, followed by it's sharp decline of quality and approach to comsumers
On the other, inuyasha had some of the best girls, and was a genuinely fun watch that delivered on most fronts, but that could also be because anime and games still meant something, and the creators still tried back then
t. Sango and Morohafag that was able to break free from modern gaming, thanks to the switch 2 being the pinnacle of nintendo selling out
>>714382847The "continuation" you are speaking about is that one called "the final act?" Because they were just the final chapters of the manga basically. There is nothing else except the movies and yashahime next. I tend not to split the two series coming from the manga.
>>714364089 (OP)>>714382982To answer your question, I think it depends on the circumstances of the fatigue. Mine is the feeling that most games are starting to look, play, and try to be the same as each other, games can't be fun any more, they have to be some serious movie experience made to appeal to casuals and people easily distracted by realistic designs, as if they're trying to escape their reality for a seemingly realistic other one.
>>714383236I suppose it is drastically shorter but still longer than virtually all modern anime at it's best so coming off a much longer running series it isn't much to delineate. I still didn't see that tho and never read the manga because back then I didn't feel like reading. Now I read more manga than watch anime.
>>714378675The Japanese are slaves to trends because they're all copycats by nature. The few of them that are innovative will end up leading the charge for the rest to follow.
90s was also the peak of shaded, hand drawn, and hand colored animation. With the 2000s came digitally colored/shaded animation, and it took them a long time to figure out how to get back to the same level of quality that doing it by hand gave them. Then as that happened, the style changed, and costs ramped up thanks to a weakening economy/poor economic recovery from the Lost Decade.
The 90s favored sharper edges over the 80s softer approach, and allowed some return to stylized designs akin to the 70s, while also keeping some of the 80s focus on realistic proportions, and angles. It was an interesting melding of the style of the two decades while also seeking to be it's own thing. Using Faye as an example is key, because that decade loved their film noir influences. You'll get some contention, though, because Yura would technically be considered a 2000s design.
>>714383701I would suggest to read the manga because the anime is really really slow, some seasons are really just fillers or take forever.
>>714382847nta but
>>714383236 is right. There's no time skip between the "original" run and final act, it's just a revisit to tie up the loose ends and finish the story
The movies aren't canon, but 1 and 3 at least tie into lore of the show, where 2 and 4 are still entertaining, but feel completely isolated
Yashahime was an attempt I think to snag a different audience, resting on it's own coattails assuming the original fandom would come and stay (I did, but only because moroha, and I wanted to see if the show would eventually "get good" like the original series. I was disappointed)
>>714383895Yashahime was litterally "fans of the series are here for moroha". She was the litteral fanservice to the oldfag.

>>714383835The anime is really good, though, all things considered. The OST and the way they tried to incorporate horror elements into it was great.

>>714383809>>714387668Thanks for the answers. It seems I wasn't wrong about the sharper angles of characters in 90s anime. I personally love this style.
>>714390254You can now dream
Furi kazashi
>>714380047correct me if I'm wrong but I think Ranma only ever shows Ranma's tits. The manga/anime gets away with the fact that they pretend this is technically a dude so it doesn't count and Ranma is never really ashamed either.
Like nipples on statues or classical art
>>714389771You've looked like Sloth from the goonies your whole life, guaranteed
>>714394262>I think Ranma only ever shows Ranma's tits>Like nipples on statues or classical artIndeed those are great tiddies.
>>714364089 (OP)Walk away, do something else
If you're bored of gaming then there's likely boredom with other aspects of your life that you aren't addressing, and no amount of vidya will fix it. Sort yourself out and then games will be fun again
>>714390826Very. Simple, clean, no politics or modern depressing themes, good characters, very slow on some arcs, and i mean *very* slow.
Worth tho it's one of those "everyone should watch it in their life" things.
>>714364089 (OP)Work out
No really and don't do it for health or to get /fit/ or any shit like that. Work out purely for the sake of working out, then get confused when, 7 months after, you suddenly start looking good. You should work out purely for the sake of working out and not think about why at all. People are gay today because 1st world conditions let then overthink shit.
>>714394262>Ranma only ever shows Ranma's titsI would KILL for some ukyo's homemade tatas.
>>714394262Shanpu had godlike tiddies but this is the best you can see. Manga is almost 1:1
>>714395895The patrician choice.
>>714394262>The manga/anime gets away with the fact that they pretend this is technically a dudeProbably but kagome's kagomes were real and she was a girl. Probably a 4d chess plan by rumiko cause i could swear to god i remember to have seen other tiddies.
Also do pic related count as a nipple?
>>714378675>2 FayesUnfair, not that i mind, shes the best
>>714389771what did you gain from saying this you incel fuck?
Images you can hear in your head.
>>714364089 (OP)workout and go outside for 30 minutes to 1 hour to fix your depression, sunlight is very important for that. Humans didn't evolve from sitting in a cave all day they went outside.
>>714397239good thing they remade the whole anime so they could remove that racial slur
>>714364158Same. It was the only reason I watched Inyuyasha in fact. That and the OP and EDs
>>714364358They're all from the same show
>>714397676No maoist uniform, no game.
Also no tatas.
Also the inevitable nerfed happosai because you can't show happosai to the modern audience.
Weaklings.
>>714366964I think I have the opposite problem. Games these days are too superficial and souless so my suspension of disbelief cannot fully come into motion. It always feels like I'm forcing myself to ignore certain aspects of the game to like them.
The last game I purchased is Space Marine 2 and all the enemies and levels are practically just a slur of 10 copy pasted assets all over them. The story is generic, the dialogue is not memorable, the visuals and music are extremely uninspired.
>>714394262AND I SHALL CORRECT YOU SIR
I litterally fast read half of ranma to see some tiddies.

just try other games, genres or do something else entirely.
>>714367251Be the change you want to see, get a GF and make her cut it for you

if you're into vidya, anime, lolis, and all things artistic/creative, Whether it's Pokรฉmon, Fate, Dragon Quest, limbus company, Danganronpa, Monster Hunter, Final Fantasy, Bravely Default, Fire Emblem,/m/ shows, Kemono, SMT, Mega Man, Sonic,3D SFM, Castlevania, Touhou, or series like monogatari, RWBY, Digimon, Disgaea, and beyond
>>714398289absolute shame. I even liked the remake to some extent. Maybe I should make a direct comparison, but I think the animations for most of the fights are much more detailed. Nonetheless remaking Ranma was pointless as fuck. I wonder if there is a BD release that restores the nipples or if the whole purpose of remaking it was really just to make it safe for modern audience.
Maybe they pull a new ending out their ass.
>no happosaiis he? I thought the story didn't progress this far yet. I remember when I read the manga, I was surprised to see how long it took for some characters to appear
>>714400286>BD release that restores the nipplesThere is none they entirely chopped off all the ecchi content. It's not censored, that is the original.
>the story didn't progress this far yetAlmost, next season they introduce the duck and you can see happosai resurrection on the trailer so it's this season.
