that being said, cs:co got sent a cease and desist because zool and his team were going to be requiring csgo binaries for the mod to be functional
csgo is technically no longer available on the steam store (yes, even if its available as a cs2 beta opt-in) so im not suprised valve took action
cs:co also never communicated with valve at all in the 9 years of its development so that was entirely their own blunder.
if this is a legit email from valve then its more than likely valve reminding cslegacy of what makes a source mod commercial/non-commercial
