pretty much everybody agrees that the gameplay is better you schizo.
its mostly little stuff they fucked up. isaac looks dumb, kendra and hammond look worse and their voice actors are worse and they act dumber, isaac walks like he has a diaper full of shit rather than chad-strutting like he does in the original games, plasma cutter feels and sounds way less impactful, tranny shit, stomp animation was ruined, looks and sounds worse, has a looping issue if you spam it, the suit design in general works for the remake but doesnt look as industrial and grounded as the original, as far as writing some of the characterization is botched. the necros are UNIVERSALLY less gruesome and interesting than they were before. like i said, its a LOT of little stuff that fucks it up, its not really the big stuff.
gunner still crushes ass with his voice acting, no complaints there. the expansion of the ishimura is a net positive, the extra stuff was nice to have.
but dead space 2 is still the goat. it wont be beat, ever. and the original DS1 didnt play like shit, THAT is the take of someone who has never played it, i replay it often.
