How do you tackle backlog?
It's no secret that many of us have amassed a rather large collection of games on Steam over the years. The problem is, there are only 24 hours in a day and so many amazing games to play! Today I'd like to ask: How do you tackle your backlog? What strategies have worked best for you in making progress through those unplayed titles?

I buy a game, then play it, THEN put it away again. Throwing money around with no plan on how to use what I buy encourages an industry of hypebeasting goyslop.

Most stupid thing ever invented. Why would you treat video games like a job?

I think people with backlogs must be using some sort of drugs like an antidepressant or something that makes them behave like a weird automaton. Or maybe they're just fucked in the head. Why would you buy a game that you aren't immediately planning to play? Those games won't disappear anywhere and you don't have an obligation to play every classic or recently popular game. Nobody has time for that.

Identify some games you own that sound cool to you and play them. Cut down on buying new games until you're satisfied with them.
Additionally, don't force yourself to beat a game in your backlog if you aren't enjoying it. Your time is too valuable for that.
