Resources are very slow to get and mostly time-gated. Paying to speed this up is extremely expensive/stupid. After the very early parts of the game you only level up 5 Nikke's and then use the synchro feature to match the level for all your other units. Never use your crystals for standard banner and look up a guide or something before rolling on limited banners, like the current Sora banner is absolute garbage and Nier units are pretty mediocre.

The biggest issue is the level 160 wall which you don't have to worry about for a while now. Just know that you're hardcapped to max level 160 on all your units until you get 5 SSR units to MLB (4 total copies each). You can get to chapter 20-23ish until this level wall will stop you in your tracks.

Good thing about bd2 is you can make your own banner right now for 2nd anni. There's also a permanent banner where you select 12 characters and they are the only 5* you can get. There's really no issue when it comes to getting the girl you want.

Stuff like lifting nikkes doesn't mean much since their actual weight is never stated. They could be 300lbs like 2b or 3000lbs like a truck. One is well within human limits, the other would genuinely be super human. Being able to heal quickly is impressive, but again the story doesn't specify to what extent. Is nobody gonna tell OP that Nikke literally power-gates it's own main story, as there's no level cap and past a certain point (chapter 20ish) the power requirements for each chapter battle DRAMATICALLY increase and it only gets worse and worse, till eventually you end up walled and have to spend weeks if not MONTHS in what the Nikke community calls the "idle phase" where you just do your dailies every day grinding to get JUST enough to gain a SINGLE level and then maybe clear a few battles in the chapter, than you're back to grinding for weeks to months.

Oh, and worse? In order to uncap your own lvl beyond lvl 160, you need FIVE SSR characters fully limit broken, which requires you to get THREE dupes of each of said FIVE SSR characters.

Nikke is the most anti-F2P gacha around. The wall was a problem if you weren't prepared back during launch but now you get many dupes by just playing the game.
Also overloading your gears now gives a huge CP boost
And even if you got walled, it is not like you're not progressing, you still horde mats and the moment you break the wall you will be able to use them

Just make sure you get MLB's, there's no harm in missing normal banners since most things can be wishlisted.
You can save a bit and target banners to MLB a particular Nikke you like, it usually takes under 200 pulls and you can pity another copy at 200. I started during the first Nier banner and did this for both A2 and 2B.

Definitely isn't even close to as good as it gets. Pretty much any png game like nikke but more coomer is better. BA, AL, GFL, BD2 all of them give a shit ton more pulls. I started playing Horizon Walker and that game lets you roll with the like gold equivalent. I didn't play a lot of last origin but that game also seems like the gold equivalent could be used for rolls. Nikke is more generous than the hoyoverse games though.

No stamina hell, full character selector right off the bat, skins with actual effects sometimes, and the animations didn’t look like janky Unity asset flips.
