I had both and hated playing WoC simply because it had long load times for the levels
then again I also hated spyro because it swapped the flame and charge buttons for no reason

Wrath of Cortex wasn't bad, it just wasn't as good as the first three. It was just "okay".

Enter the Dragonfly on the other hand was literally unfinished, due to being rushed out for a holiday release. The 3d models look awkward as fuck. There's a grand total of NINE levels in the entire game, most of which were open empty space because again, unfinished. The bubble breath mechanic is 100% pointless and only serves to waste your time. There's tons of bugs and glitches, even more than the PS1 games. Literally the only redeeming factor this game has is the Copeland soundtrack; every other part of it is fucking garbotrash.

I did like the beach resort level in that spyro game. The reboot series later on was very different I almost forgot it existed. Combat was so strange in a spyro game.

Wrath of Cortex was their PS2 debut. It was created from scratch for PS2, and later got ported to Xbox and Gamecube (the Xbox port is decent, but the GC port is shoddy)

wrath of cortex was fine. had a great time with it, didn't realize people hated it until years later when i saw people clowning on it online. i realized that enter the dragonfly was garbage even as a dumb kid.

The founder of Insomniac already warned us in 2000 that they wouldn't make another Spyro game after 3

Based and N-Sane pilled. Wrath of Cortex had charm but was jank, and Enter the Dragonfly was held together by bubble breath fumes and Copeland's soundtrack. Still, I'll PWN my little cousin in both and feel like a god.

Yeah that was obvious with Spyro 3. All the alternate characters and minigames that were directly ripped from other PS1 games; it was clear they were out of ideas.
