The soviet one starts with you in London and you only have $2500, a radar, a barracks and a handful of units. You need to cross the river to destroy a mind control device but every bridge has a bunch of guys on it and they dunked on my guys so I took a break.

3rd Soviet mission is the one in London, right? Take the left side, that's easier, especially if you use the amphibious transport. That should clear the way to the Allied base where you destroy the psychic beacon. Do not destroy any other Allied buildings. Once that's done, you'll have new friends to take the new objective with, and do that fast.
