NTA but the gameplay still sucks, the new combat system is extremely punishing early on and then becomes easier and easier over time until the end game is just you wiping the floor with everything. There are even small monster dungeons around the game world that you don't get the abilities to progress in until you're far too powerful for them to be a challenge.
Only the BP portion of the game feels balanced.

The things he says that are wrong are ultimately things the game poorly explains or just doesn't communicate the idea of at all (it's not the 90s, the an Alex isn't the one that NTR'd Vella, 2K having absolutely nothing in common with Aigis beyond being a robot), so it's understandable how he and a lot of people just playing the game casually would arrive at these conclusions.

YIIK itself addresses some of these issues in the update where communication of what the plot wants you to say and realize are made far more clear.

There are good postmodern works, and then there's YIIK. It forgets to give the players and actual interesting hook, a desire to look into what's actually going on, and forgetting to make what you get when you look deeper actually have substance. Also because Alex basically controls his world, you don't have anything to ground the work in either besides Alex. Alex is a shitty person but that doesn't make him interesting because he's just verbose because that's what he thinks makes him smart, but how is that entertaining? How does this make us care about Alex? It doesn't. He's just boring. If the work revolves around a boring person, and there's no interesting world around him, then it's a boring work.
