D barrier prevents using the game mechanics to special summon at all. You can't even perform a single summon of that type for the rest of the turn, lingering effect, doesn't matter what you do. But if this just prevents the malice player from summoning a link summon when they already have a link in play, I'm not sure this 100% completely totally stops them as much because they banish their own cards (including their link summons) for cost to activate effects and I'm sure they could navigate around it to still pass turn with something on the field.
And the card seems like absolute doodoo against anything else too, d barrier is pretty shit these days actually. We'll see how things progress. I still haven't seen the deck in action.

I'm testing without it to see how it goes. I feel like it's more important to have Maxx "C" targets because the deck summons a lot. I'm still learning it, there are so many lines to learn and the order of cards to banish can get a bit confusing, but it's pretty fun so far.
