The rumblepad 2, the controller this is based on, didn't last a year. Lasted about as much as a cheap, $20 ching-chong controller. I have too many controllers. If I could get rid of them all, I'd replace them with a Dualshock 4, used or not, whichever is at a price I can justify, unless there's a cheaper one that can support a DS4 gyro mode. Other than gyro, no other reason to go over $20.

I have one of these (though my dpad is different its a + instead of a circle). Build quality is good but the shape of the handles are not great and the dpad makes it hard to roll across the diagonals for tekken 3.
I like it over dualshocks and xbox controllers for its build quality. F310 would be pretty good if the thumbsticks didn't have such massive deadzones so I like it over that too. Haven't tried any of the other reputable non-first-party controllers.

The fuck am I meant to do, I'm not paying for a licence. Do I just create a new reWASD account every week to make use of the free trial? Can I just edit a registry key? Redirect it to a local licence server emulator or something?

Steam doesn't care, Valve isn't actually checking or verifying anything you add to Steam as a non-Steam game unless it specifically makes Steam API calls above and beyond achievement data that's usually handled by whatever crack comes with a pirated game, and usually whenever it's making Steam API calls that would prompt Steam to bring up a store page or similar, it's because there's no crack in the game's folder. It's not a smart launcher (and thank goodness for it, nobody wants it to be one). Hell you can get all the icons, banners and other art from SteamGridDB and trick out games you've pirated into looking official in your library.

Steam emulators usually dump a DLL file into the game's folder that the game will load and which intercepts any Steam calls to the emulator. Similar injection process to how REFramework and other Capcom game modding tools work where the game just loads a dependency DLL you put in there without question and it lets the magic happen from there. Off the top of my head Goldberg is the Steam emulator bundled in with Antonblast already when I downloaded it off IGG-Games.
