Gamesaar Tegenaria Lite is really good, shockingly so for $20. Still has analog triggers, back buttons and hall effect joysticks. Between this and 8bitdo Ultimate C stuff for around $20, you actually have poorfag options that aren't Logitech these days.

The rumblepad 2, the controller this is based on, didn't last a year. Lasted about as much as a cheap, $20 ching-chong controller. I have too many controllers. If I could get rid of them all, I'd replace them with a Dualshock 4, used or not, whichever is at a price I can justify, unless there's a cheaper one that can support a DS4 gyro mode. Other than gyro, no other reason to go over $20.

I have one of these (though my dpad is different its a + instead of a circle). Build quality is good but the shape of the handles are not great and the dpad makes it hard to roll across the diagonals for tekken 3.
I like it over dualshocks and xbox controllers for its build quality. F310 would be pretty good if the thumbsticks didn't have such massive deadzones so I like it over that too. Haven't tried any of the other reputable non-first-party controllers.

Of all the things to complain about with the N64's controller, there's nothing wrong with the d-pad itself, ignoring the weird 3-handed placement of it. Also, the Gamecube controller is comfy as fuck, too, with not a single d-pad flaw. Nice attempt at gotchas though.

Just get something with Xinput that has the features you want. Go for something with hall effect, you'll probably get a decent controller but you don't need to spend more than like $80. I like the Flydigi Vader 4 Pro, but there's plenty of stuff cheaper that's just as good, on paper.

X-input won the war. Unless you're willing to hunt down DirectInput drivers or install Steam (Steam Controller API rules over all), there is no other controller that supports out-of-box like the X-box controllers do.

I like the idea of these controllers but they need some kind of extendible middle part to accommodate the Playstation symmetrical layout. Invariably they go for Xbox spacing on sticks and buttons which leads to cramped joysticks in Playstation config. At the very least they should model themselves after Playstation controllers and not Xbox ones to solve that problem.

I actually had an AX210 wifi/Bluetooth card in my tower for a long time until one day Windows started spamming "power surge on USB port" errors at me until I turned the computer off and then it would just power-cycle endlessly... until I took the card out while running full diagnostics, at which point it ran completely fine. Trauma and a mobo replacement that was probably not necessary later and it's gonna take a while before I trust PCI cards again.

Steam doesn't care, Valve isn't actually checking or verifying anything you add to Steam as a non-Steam game unless it specifically makes Steam API calls above and beyond achievement data that's usually handled by whatever crack comes with a pirated game, and usually whenever it's making Steam API calls that would prompt Steam to bring up a store page or similar, it's because there's no crack in the game's folder. It's not a smart launcher (and thank goodness for it, nobody wants it to be one). Hell you can get all the icons, banners and other art from SteamGridDB and trick out games you've pirated into looking official in your library.

Steam emulators usually dump a DLL file into the game's folder that the game will load and which intercepts any Steam calls to the emulator. Similar injection process to how REFramework and other Capcom game modding tools work where the game just loads a dependency DLL you put in there without question and it lets the magic happen from there. Off the top of my head Goldberg is the Steam emulator bundled in with Antonblast already when I downloaded it off IGG-Games.

These. They get hated on but whatever. Tweakable through windows, never wear out, no stupid ass batteries to charge, etc. Just works.

>inb4 year another variation of the ultimate

All I want is a Pro 3 with TMR sticks, newer bluetooth standard and maybe wireless, but most of all that they keep the removable battery.
No one else other than xbox has one.

My buddies rec'd the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C, and it works without a hitch so far. You can get it for pretty cheap if you don't care about the colour.

Order a cheap replacement cable off Ebay. They're like 1โ‚ฌ, free shipping.
If you can't solder, I'll do it for you. Just tell me where you live.
