>>714431580 There's no way you play any 2D games, either that or you have giant gorilla monkey fingers, the d-pad is good specifically because it's a plastic disc over switches, mine is not stiff at all
>>714432019 You've never played with a Nintendo or Sony controller in your life if you think the disc feels good. We had way better d-pads in the past. How tiny and feminine are your fingers that you can't just push two directions at once if you need diagonals?
Gamesaar Tegenaria Lite is really good, shockingly so for $20. Still has analog triggers, back buttons and hall effect joysticks. Between this and 8bitdo Ultimate C stuff for around $20, you actually have poorfag options that aren't Logitech these days.
>>714431858 I play third person games with mouse and keyboard and I think it's better than with controllers. All you get with controllers is the ability to easily walk at different speeds, but it's just a detail.

>>714430414 (OP) The rumblepad 2, the controller this is based on, didn't last a year. Lasted about as much as a cheap, $20 ching-chong controller. I have too many controllers. If I could get rid of them all, I'd replace them with a Dualshock 4, used or not, whichever is at a price I can justify, unless there's a cheaper one that can support a DS4 gyro mode. Other than gyro, no other reason to go over $20.

Build quality is good but the shape of the handles are not great and the dpad makes it hard to roll across the diagonals for tekken 3. I like it over dualshocks and xbox controllers for its build quality. F310 would be pretty good if the thumbsticks didn't have such massive deadzones so I like it over that too. Haven't tried any of the other reputable non-first-party controllers.

>>714430414 (OP) Just get something with Xinput that has the features you want. Go for something with hall effect, you'll probably get a decent controller but you don't need to spend more than like $80. I like the Flydigi Vader 4 Pro, but there's plenty of stuff cheaper that's just as good, on paper.
X-input won the war. Unless you're willing to hunt down DirectInput drivers or install Steam (Steam Controller API rules over all), there is no other controller that supports out-of-box like the X-box controllers do.
I love my purple xbox series controller. I've had it for nearly a year, no issues yet, and I hope I never get stick drift because I'm no longer going to buy pajeetsoft products out of principle.
I have an xbone pad and a dual shock 4 as backup though, both are old and also have no stick drift. I also have this for fightans.

>>714431104 Maybe you're just retarded because this has like the best dpad on any modern controller I've used. It's almost exactly like the Sega Saturn dpad.
I got the 2C fairly recently, so it is kind of surprising to see a few comments on not liking the D-Pad that much. It definitely is not perfect, but it has worked plenty well in my experience. I have the low standards of "does not register diagonals fucking constantly" to go by.
>>714432396 I was worried this would have the same fucked up stepping on their previous Tarantula, but it doesn't seem like it but their deadzone settings are also some inaccurate manual/analog button combination, so there's no way to tell if it's really on zero, but both axis (each stick) jitter +/- in those browser stick testers seems good
>>714449181 the tarantula's really funny, it's legitimately not in their development pipeline to unfuck the controller for another couple of years because they need to rewrite the firmware for it completely from scratch

>>714457904 Steam doesn't care, Valve isn't actually checking or verifying anything you add to Steam as a non-Steam game unless it specifically makes Steam API calls above and beyond achievement data that's usually handled by whatever crack comes with a pirated game, and usually whenever it's making Steam API calls that would prompt Steam to bring up a store page or similar, it's because there's no crack in the game's folder.
