Direhowl has base sprint speed of 1050, +10% at rank 1 condense, so 1155.

Anything faster than Direhowl at midgame requires breeding, so looking at what's available to catch, I guess Univolt is okay. 1100 speed and changes attacks to Electric.

I mentioned before about breeding for a Demon God Blazamut Ryu. Just now I managed to roll a Vampiric one. Would a Blazamut Ryu with Eternal Flame/Vampiric/Serenity/Ferocious (or Musclehead but I feel like it would be a waste to slap -50% Work Speed on a Pal with innate Level 4 Work affinity, even if he's meant for fighting) be good enough?

Then for completeness a sake, what's probably available is:

These guys change your attack type to a different element and give a small attack bonus.

These guys give a significant type-attack bonus, but they don't change the player attack type (which is otherwise untyped damage). So, they're more for fighting while mounted, where you use the Pal's attacks to deal damage.

I think Fenglope is probably the best one if you just want to enjoy getting around. He isn't the fastest, but he's at the top end rather than that bottom end, and his stamina blows the competition out of the water under these restrictions.

I've never used Fenglope myself, so I can't say what their actual move pools look like and how they contribute.
If that different from the other ground mount charge attacks? I've used Rushoar, Arsox, and Reindrix, for example, and those guys all have moves that let you charge forward. I presume that a lot of the "this looks like it headbutts things" have a similar move, so Univolt and Eikthydeer probably have one as well.

Give them food, if you don't know what to give them then just build a ranch and put 4 chikipis in there, then build the food box within the ranch, any pal that can carry stuff will move the eggs to the food box, and pals will go there to eat automatically, 4 chikipis can feed several extremely hunger heavy pals like blazamut and jormuntide, you will never run out of food and even if you do the solution is more chikipis.

In old versions of the game when pals got stuck constantly, it was common for one pal to starve itself, get every medical condition, and then gorge itself on your entire stock of food within minutes. I don't think that happens anywhere near as frequently as it used to, but I did still have to reorganize my bases to not have any tall structures near the palbox or else pals would get stuck on them.

Not every move. Some top tier moves are currently gained either by leveling up on a specific pal, using that pal to pass it as an egg move, or are exclusive skills which can't be transferred at all. For instance, Double Blizzard Spike is a move that you can only get from Frostallion.

Honestly, I don't think that the game lends itself well to aesthetic base design. The tile set is way too large, you just don't have much control over details.
I've seen bases that look really great at a distance, but that's because they're enormous structures and the distance gives the illusion of fidelity.

I tried to get Phoenix Burst on a Mossanda for memes and couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t take-turns out it's locked to Suzaku entirely. Handiwork level doesn't appear to matter. Timer doesn't seem to change whether I assign a pal with 1 or 5 Handiwork. Generally one of my idle 5-Handiwork pals is on the station.

But yeah, I get that I could theoretically fill a base with fishing platforms, but even if I did that the return would still be kinda ass if it's meant to be balanced around normal play, rather than people who leave their game running while AFK overnight/at work.

The large fishing pond is level 55.
I've been printing meat since I unlocked the expedition station at level 19. And the large station has three pals that drop food: Dumud (normal and Gild), and Gloopie.
Dumud's meat doesn't make any level-appropriate food. Gloopie's tentacles can be used for the new seafood salad, which increases XP gain. Which is okay, I guess.
Of the other pals in the pool, only Whalaska ignis has a mildly relevant butchering drop, and that's 2-3 Coralum.
But none of that matters, because by level 55, you should have unlimited cake production, and breeding is far an away more efficient than the fishing station for butchering, and both are AFK activities.
For gold, you unlocked the gold printer at level 48, and all it consumes is iron.
I just don't see the point of keeping the fishing pond around. It has a giant footprint and doesn't provide a reasonable return. I'd honestly like it better if, instead of this queued pal fishing station, it generated a normal fishing node of the appropriate level that periodically generated fish, which I could actively fish in without having to go out looking for a spot.
At least then it'd be something of a distraction when I'm standing around waiting on other things.

Well, correction, Dumud Chowder is slightly better than minestrone for work speed.
But still, you're not feeding your base off of the fishing pond. You're lucky to get 1 Dumud per hour out of it. You'd breed them if you needed industrial meat production. Even without philanthropist or Broloha, you get 1 egg per 5 minutes.

I think an interesting implementation would be to give individual pals a favorite/disliked food that grants a boosted, reduced or negative sanity/affinity gain. For the sake of balance maybe costlier high tier foods wouldn't incur negative effects, whereas easy crafts like salad served 24/7 could make a Blazehowl's stomach turn.

Question for you all.

So I've got quite a few bases now. One as a general fabrication base, one for oil west of the volcano, one in Sakurajima for oil/farming, one for purely farming/cooking, and a base im in the process of building (for what particular niche, I've yet to figure that out)

Myy question isn't about what to turn that base into, but more a "Whats the easiest food to cook for pals, that gives the best amount of "fullness(?)" so a pal doesn't have to waste time coming back for a berry every three seconds?"

So far I've streamlined pizza, and it seems to work well, but now that most of my bases are churning like a well-oiled machine, the entire cooking aspect is seemingly not fast enough to keep up with the demand from so many heavy eaters (tons of Astagons, Orzerks, Jormintides, and Anubus's).

Im well aware I can just chuck the 18k berries/50k uncooked other foods I have into my chilled food boxes, but like I said I want them to eat an item and then have them be full enough to go and work a while before feeling the need to come back and eat more. Any advice?

I am not sure how Jellroys stack, if at all. They definitely don't stack for the coralite - when I ran with 4 jellroy at 0* vs 4 jellroy at 4*, I always capped out at 22 coralite max.
I think that it might otherwise stack for the number of other stuff you get, though. As though there's a table, and more Jellroys means more rolls on the table, rather than strictly multiplying what you did roll.

A couple of my favourites have great passives, but the rest don't. At level 34 I'm currently in the mood to set aside time to catch everyone else up, because I haven't actually gone out of my way to do any grinding/farming in the game yet.

Starting out, jam on toast is very easy and lasts a whille but doesn't do anything special.
Midgame, switch to salads for the extra workspeed bonus.
Lategame, minestrone does the same thing for salad but is slightly more filling, so big pals won't be running back to the feed box as much.
Your early game food you keep on hand for yourself should be omelettes. Very easy to make, and +10% attack is great. They'll last you a long time, but at the very end you'll switch to mass breeding mammorests and butchering them for their food, which gives +25% atk and enough satiation to keep every pal happy.

Probably salad.
Jelly rolls are available earlier, and can be made off of cake production, but are worse. Still, if you're running a cake base, it's generally more efficient to just use extra wheat and berries, than adding extra farms for salads. Pancakes are similar, but are a sometimes food, since you aren't usually swimming in honey the same way you are berries, but honey does tend to pile up over time.
Most of the other things available around the same time as salad are worse, like stir fry, or require not-easily farm able ingredients.
Pizza or pasta (I forget the name) are probably the best for lategame, but, is a lot more work, for not much more upside, it's totally fine to just stick to salads if you don't want to expand food production.
Cotton candy or honey are decent to have on hand to solve San issues, but just forcing a pal into a bath a few times will also solve this.

For you, baked berries are *fine*, since pals just suck up whatever they need from the feed bag, and you can play the entire game slapping stacks of hundreds of berries in there.
Omelets are probably the best mass producable option, since they give extra attack, and can also be made off of cake production.
Some of the meat options are also real good for the player's use, since you can top a pal off, and give 'em a buff. You don't really NEED the mass numbers to get value out of these, 10 cheeseburgers in a pack are probably fine for a tower boss or something. You can also preserve the handful you have through sort refreshing, so, they aren't decaying to nothing in your pockets.
Unfortunately, there doesn't yet seem to be a way to set any priorities or assignments to feedbags, so having multiple feedbags is kinda useless beyond extra inventory space, or a backup to autofeed berries after you burn through your cheeseburgers or mammorest.

I had serenity, musclehead, legend and ferocious for the longest time, now i could breed demon god and pals also do their standart attacks when everything is on cooldown, as well as cd ticking down while they are in a sphere. I would highly doubt any humans would be in a hypothetical crossover, but I could easily see a dungeon with some monsters, with the end being a train station where the Mer-Line brings an Archangel for you to fight (and possibly catch, but I don't think any of them makes sense to be catchable). I think out of all the Archangels, Puppetox would fit the best in the game as boss, his gimmick would make for an interesting fight.
On the Cassette Beasts side of things, really anything could be added and it would make sense. Zoe appearing somewhere and her transforming into Grizzbolt seems very obvious, honestly they could just take a chuck or a complete island and just slap it in the game and it fits perfectly.

Yakumo can get traits on legendary pals, but raid boss pals are technically not "caught", so the only way to get traits on them is breed/repeat endlessly until you naturally roll tbe traits you want.

Sootseer is the mainstay in my battle party, the rest are cycled out as needed.

I also have a world where I restrict myself to 5 base pals, and in that one I run Begarde/Sootseer/Penking Lux, with two empty slots to rotate in merchants or breeding pairs.
