I liked the movie. It's very much just From Dusk Til Dawn but in 1920s Louisiana. Like full on same set up and structure and bits. Very good. If you liked From Dusk Til Dawn, you'll like this.

ehh.. sinners was a bit meh. to be perfectly honest, i kind of expected more from that movie. it had a fantastic premise, but i think they went through everything a little bit too fast and the manuscript could have been tweaked a bit, i think. i wonder how that movie would have worked as a limited series, instead. because i think there was enough material and world-building for at least that.

The fact that this doesn't end with a massive 3 way fight between the vampires, the kkk and Michael B Jordan and his magical blues negro summoning an army of magic musical time shamans was a travesty. Coogler had set up such a wild idea but in the end either didn't have the imagination or money to make it pay off.

Tons more movies, as for video games with that exact setup, Marvel's Blade, Blade Trinity, Blade 2, Blade, Marvel's Midnight Suns, Redfall, The Blood of Dawnwalker, Silent Slayer, El Paso, Elsewhere, Vampirem, Bloodlust - Shadowhunter, Darkwatch, Veil of Darkness, Dawnguard and many more that I'm forgetting.

You know how many times a white vampire hunter kills any jewish vampires across all forms of media? Literally never been done. You have the chance to make the first instead of the hundred and ninety second.

Following up the vampires with KKK members was kind of weak. If the vampires are supposed to be representations of racism, the last fight being actual racist who aren't bullet proof is a lame ending.
