I didn't play it because I thought the 1st game was boring and is everything I dislike about Witcher and TES games without the aspects that make them good or worth playing.

no. kingdom come games are boring and repetitive. people like them because they are based in realism but they both get boring really quickly, and both suffer from not having a single bit of interesting story or characters. the environments are also quiet boring and repetitive specifically because of the realism they are based on.

A nice, simple test for this question is to use normalfag consciousness as a barometer for their investment in a game. Or in other words: how often do you hear people talk about this game? How many of them are still playing it?

I genuinely forgot KCD2 even came out, and most people I talk to have as well. They still play shit like Cyberpunk, unfortunately.

I played KCD1 and quit after 10 minutes because of how jank the combat was. In comparison, I played Gothic 1 to completion. KCD1 was on a totally different level of Eurojank

It was not THAT good. I may replay KCD the original, as it had numerous ways to approach multiple quests. But in KCD2, the only thing that was iterated on was master strikes. But since directional attacks were reduced by 50% and there are few if any branching paths in quests, strictly speaking it is worse than its predecessor in literally everything but graphics. Unlike most I would not say that the woke elements in the game made it not worth playing.

But to call it a 'Love Letter to Gamers'? That is a bridge too far, and someone that has tasted too much of the teat of Youtube bux. It's an okay game with some redeeming elements. I would recommend it to people that liked the first. But a love letter? No, lol

You do not like Eurojank whatsoever if you quit KCD that fast. I 100% guarantee you didn't even touch the game's gameplay and quit for some gay reason, there's no way you played through all of Gothic but quit KCD immediately for any valid reason.

Seriously. It tries to pretend Mali was safe and kind to women and educated and uses a guy based on Ibn Battuta to say it.

I liked it, it was a solid 1st game, and the 2nd game was simplified but still a good time.

Kinda wish I got more of it and disheartened that they're done with the game.

Its one of the most immersive games. Things like npcs crying after Henry kills a family member and more impressive other npcs acknowledging the crying npcs and offering condolences/getting pissed off. Them commenting on your smell/outfit as well. Telling a quest giver you didn't find the armor when you have it on and them saying "b-but you're wearing it." Npcs noticing somethings missing when they go to put their stuff away. Capable of realizing "I had this on me 2 seconds ago, Henry is the only one here.. hey wait a minute" I haven't played since the patch but only complaint I had was the common complaint 2nd area is too easy. Supposedly they fixed that but I haven't tried it myself. Looking forward to the dlc. One of the best I've ever played.

The first half of the game is fantastic but Kuttenberg feels rushed and the late game economy is fucked and it's way too easy to become overpowered.

It has a great ending however.

it was very hit and mass
it's still master strike parry shit (even enemies like dogs and wolves) and for whatever reason they removed 2 directions to swing your sword from
combos are way easier
you get the sword back and reforge into the best longsword in the game pretty early
alchemy was better because you can brew 5 pots at a time pretty early
i dont think godwin's new va suits him at all
the side quests are generally okay
the main story goes on too long
kuttenberg feels like a proper town compared to rat eye
it was nice to be able to be a blacksmith and sell stuff to make money and have an alternative money maker to thieving everything, which everyone did in the first game
a lot of obvious things were forced but everyone already knows that
