fire emblem but there is an endless horde mode that is wave based and at the end of every 3 waves you spin a wheel that either gives you some type of buffs (stat boosters, killer weapons, +1 range skills, max a support, spawn a bunch of dragon veins, etc) or permanently makes the enemies/map harder.
To incentivize the player to move around the map there will be thieves with weapons or promo items that spawn around the map and only stick around for a few turns. Maybe throw in recruitable enemies but FE doesnt really do that much anymore.
to make the endless mode more varied there will be 3 different game modes, VIP, defend throne/border, kill boss w/turn limit.

I was already lenient in giving you VRhea (who was literally just Nidhoggr but worse, since she lacked the poison ability AND came out after both). When have you seen Dedue discussion? Never, because while his teleport gimmick is cool and threatening, he still dies to a ton of attackers, and can't beat any of the actually-meta defenders.
His Chain Challenge was the first one in a while I cleared with no losses on the first try. He's not as strong as he seems at first, which is why he was not notable (and therefore not meta).
