At the very start of the game they even have long winded dungeons and elemental interactions like fire burning plants on top of objects like exploding barrels like in BOTW.
This gets quickly dropped off genshit as soon as the tutorial ends and you get out of the first city because real game design with mechanics that allow you to interact with the world is too hard for chinks.

But the thing is, the model every other gacha is copying is Genshin, not BoTW.
People forget that BoTW's main feature was immersive physics. NONE of the gachas make use of this. Instead what they're copying is the idea that Genshin created, which is a vast live service anime open world game. None of these are features relevant to nier automata or BoTW.
This is how we now get anime GTA like Ananta. People wanted anime open world games and Genshin made that concept a reality.

I love Japanese games, but when it comes to RTS, colony management, city/life simulators, or sandbox games, they just don't have any that's sates my autism.
Rune Factory and Harvest Moon used to do it until it became purely dating sims with every farming aspect getting more and more streamlined. Not to mention, the towns started feeling less like a town where they too progress their lives (others getting married, NPCs leaving/dying), and more like it's just all about me. So I left.
Everything else, action games, fighting games, etc. Japanese all the way
