More like consolidating. In my fucking casual opinion, a lot of marathons could simply be cut, and it would be an improvement. I get it that the involved people want to keep their thing going all year long, but for the viewer it's such a massive oversaturation, even ESA and GDQ being close to each other is already too much. AGDQ/SGDQ and ESA spring/fall or something would make a lot more sense, and for the casual viewer, that would already be plenty.
