Far as I know it's perfectly fine emulated.
The PS4 version goes on very deep sale occasionally but to be honest you're not missing out on anything that matters there.

nis made a gacha and got fucked by sony early on from them pulling funding on it then tried to make disgaea 6 3d to save on costs, but since they didn't have money anymore from spending it all on d6 and the gacha they pulled funding from galleria to finish both. that's why there's all those unique npcs in the visit in act 2 they were all supposed to have themed dungeons ala refrain but it got cut.
