Both this and starcraft were boring. I had more fun playing Command and conquer and Dune 2000

I feel the same. While some of the missions in the WC3 campaign were fun, most of it felt inane and uninteresting. Destroy every single enemy base structure while he (clearly) gets bonus gold out of thin air, and the worst: Defend for 30 minutes while at the last minute an unstoppable horde destroys your base, forcing a timer reset.

recently had a lot of fun playing through it again.
founding of durotar is amazing when you realize it was just the blueprint for WOW, it amazes me how little Rexxar was used in wows story, since just about every other minor named character was turned into somebullshit.

That whole human story is the only part of Warcraft that was ever good. Arthas, the young prince. Uther, the mentor. Andorhal, Lordaeron. An ancient evil corrupting the people. The young prince driven to slaughter his own people. Tragedy, betrayal. Living vs. undead. It's straight up arthurian and not by accident.
