Also, this is a tinfoil hat theory, but I think the main reason Microsoft is now allowing Steam & EGS on Xbox hardware is so that they can sue Sony to allow an Xbox storefront on Playstation. Nobody was paying attention, but Microsoft were oddly supportive of Timmy suing Apple, seems clear to me that they plan to do the same.
