That's something I don't get about Trigun and Gungrave.
Capcom had the wherewithal to make Dinocrisis basically an RE clones, so why didn't others people take whatever engine and assets already made for one game and churn out derivatives?

Another example is that GioGio game didn't lead toa bunch of JoJo action adventure knockoffs despite playing fairly solid. Things have bounced back with the arena fighters basically covering it but it could and should have happened sooner.

Would stray too far from Vash's character, the fact he doesn't kill is integral to his role, he kills only one person in the entire manga and it treated as major point where Vash loses his mind, but when he comes back to his senses his vow to never kill is reinforced by him growing more serious in his fights, to have absolute control of his guns and power to dominate all of his foes without killing them.

I remember it was a couple of guys fighting one evil dude at a time trying to save some girl from dying. They powered up like power rangers. But we're just dudes. I remember there was this fight where the bad guy obliterates the entire protagonist party except for one guy who kept reviving. So the bad guy takes away his 6 senses. I don't think I ever finished the anime but it was pretty interesting.

Yeah, I didn't read the manga. I watched like 10 episodes of the 90s anime and it felt like it kept looping. I fully watched the reboot and it was alright, mostly because it was much shorter and plot-driven. It's still not even close to my favorites though. Also his redesign is much gayer. A short netflix show can't squeeze in as much character progression so they need to use designs to express change to beat it over the audiences head. If you watched the 90's anime, that starts partway through the manga and is heavily adapted. There should be a timeskip where Vash looks like paul phoenix with his hair down for an episode or two, then his iconic spikey hair. Then it'll roughly be where the 90's anime started

The anime was alright. Kind of falls apart in the second half when they go past the manga though. Never played the game but I heard it was pretty mediocre, which is a shame because the setting is interesting enough to make for a good game.

I don't even remember if I tried it on Win10, it was so long ago. To be honest, I really prefer 2 anyways. Way higher QOL (though the turn-based battles are kind of fucked up so I just let them auto-play). The only downside is if you know the tech tree, the game is basically "solved."

By God desert punk is simultaneously one of the best things ever and the most disappointing. Fuck the mangika for backing out on evil kanta, I wanted a Darth Vader tier showdown at the end, they really muddied the series feel by the end of the war. Kosuna should've became as big of an asshole as him and knocked him off the top, and started the cycle again. Goddamn the peaks of that manga were good though, especially shimmer sniper and the valley of death portions. Any arc of Kanta having to rely on his wits in a strange environment was peak. The lack of /k/ towards the end still haunts me. Almost wanna write a doujinshi to fix the last half.

My biggest complaint is there's no doom wad. Maps with wolfenstein enemies mixed in would be perfect for it, option to choose seras or Alucard with different weapon sets. /a/utists have to step up

I'm surprised that there wasn't a generic arena fighter or a gundam EXVS clone with how it's mostly just 1v1s in a blank void with the rarest 2v1s or team fights.
