Holy shit this game is straight ass
>zero enemy variety
>zero interesting encounters or gameplay setpieces
>can quicksave at any time completely removing what little challenge exists
>weapons are unsatisfying and all feel samey, you only ever use the same few weapons
>your footsteps are absurdly loud for some reason
>environments are extremely bland and empty, and involve just spamming interact with the environment to see which generic door you can interact with
>game hands out ammo like candy meaning you can just mindlessly spam ammo each encounter with no care
>enemies stand right out in the open like absolute retards
>very little interactivity with environment
>hit reactions are completely unsatisfying, enemies don't react naturally to gunfire at all, and either shrug it off or just bounce up in the air like a ridiculous jack in the box toy
>controller is basically unplayable as the movement curve feels terrible, and the game struggles with diagonal aiming (diagonal aiming is less than half the speed of cardinal aiming)
The story is decent and I like the comic book narration style, but holy fuck is everything else about the game just fucking terrible.
Max Payne 3 absolutely blows this dogshit out of the water in terms of graphics, animations, enemy AI, enemy hit reactions, attention to detail, weapon design, sound design, environmental interactivity, encounters, gameplay setpieces, challenge, controller aiming, and blood & gore.
