Need I remind you that even though it took years, with the Switch not actually getting DQ11 until the end of 2019. DQ11 was actually the first game announced for the Switch. Before even the first party stuff. When it was still called the NX and we didn't even know of the name Switch.
The dev has had their NS2 dev kit for ages already before most other devs. And they've been developing the game for NS2.

They're being very careful with DQXII cause Horii wants to honor Sugiyama and Toriyama, and make XII a suitable send-off for the series.

i was hoping for something closer to FFXII personally. the plot and characters in that game suck but the gameplay was really fun.
