10 years ago when I was in university I played Rugby, boxed, and lifted weights on top, literally working out 4-6 hours a day and eating about 5500 calories on average. I had a six pack. As someone who lost 50kgs I'm sure doctors are lying about natural metabolism being roughly the same for all people. The only way I could lost weight is by walking 12-20k steps every day and eating below 1400kcal. I eat 2000kcal right now. My gf eats the same as me, PLUS a lot of sugar shit and she doesn't exercise, and she stays slim. Either she vomits during the night, when I'm asleep or our metabolism quite different.

One amateur to another, I'd suggest keeping it simple with sketches you can quick-burn through in a day or two, because I get pretty easily burned out on ambitious, long-term art projects. If a cute girl catches you eye that day, plan to draw her later, simply her design as you need, and just try getting something finished and use that experience to develop a consistent style or workflow.

Emulate just "Fire Emblem" on the GBA. It'll make you play Lyn Mode which is a very good tutorial and microchasm of what Fire Emblem is all about.

If you can't manage to sit through Lyn Mode, Fire Emblem Sacred Stones on the GBA is another good starting point.

speaking of the switch and i know this isn't quite the thread for it, but i think it's absolutely anal to release an anniversary game while refusing to re-release/make available the other games that appear in it, Awakening had the excuse of being a swan song, but leading up to Engage, more games should've been available for legal playing, Nintendo is their own worst enemy when it comes to fighting emulation.

FE8 (Sacred Stones). It's the best introduction to the series as a whole and it's a genuinely good game, very few things about it to dislike.

The GBA games aren't a bad place to start. The only thing to note is the first two share a world, with the second one being a prequel, and NoA being NoA was also the first game localized for the west.
