I can appreciate the 2 latest Zelda games because there hardly any game that are designed around physics today. I have emulated both, had fun with the physics and never completed them precisely because the combat system is quite underwhelming. Still

Yeah, that’s the rub. For all the praise about open-ended gameplay, you spend half your time dicking around in the inventory trying to cook, fuse, or swap a stick because your last one blew up after two hits. I get it-it’s “part of the survival challenge”-but it’s not fun to be constantly dragged out of the moment just to navigate a bunch of clunky UI. Cool game, but the menus are like fighting a Hinox blindfolded.

yeah, what happened? When Half-Life 2 came out it's physics were the tits but it's like after that the industry just forgot about them from a gameplay point of view and instead used them just for visual flavor

RTX happened. Too much resources are allocated to calculating "honest" lighting that looks marginally better than brebaked.
