I started running droll because

Against shit like Snake-Eyes, White Forest or Milennium Engine decks, it is very strong. Decks that can play under Droll tend to also lose to Nibiru or other board breakers.
Crystron and Maliss can play under it but it's not like it's ideal. They do draw cards and perform some searches.
I don't run chummys, imperm or dominus traps because I run bystials, belle and crow are kind of ass and I already run max roach, ash, and ghost ogre.

This is the relevant ruling. As I understand, cards that change card type by being special summoned from the backrow as monsters are no longer considered to be the same card that was originally targeted. This isn't due to any shenanigans involving targeting conditions not being valid anymore, but simply that the targeted card is "gone" because the gamestate treats the newly summoned monster as a different, unrelated card.

Most trap monsters, on the other hand, explicitly state as part of the effects that summon them that they are simultaneously still treated as traps despite being monsters. It's a bummer that most Maid builds don't actually run enough maids to ever have that work. You have 3x of the starters, 1x of the niche ones, and 1x of 3 big dragon form ones and then the rest is dragon enablers like Bystials, handtraps like imperm, and that's all you have room for. Laundry is only useful if you have a deck with way more maids than they need, and even then it's better just to have her take the laundry basin and fill it with funny paleozoic creatures.
