I played this once before but my game got fucked up and softlocked from Owlcat bugs so had to abandon it. Recently began again to actually try to complete it this time, and with all the DLC.
Went "story/game journalist mode" that let's me win every battle without any effort and it occurred to me that it's not fun. It's just not fun without a challenge.
The writing isn't that exciting, the plot keeps interrupting itself, it has absolutely no pacing or flow and without the challenge of the combat, I don't understand the attraction. I literally cannot phantom how someone could sit down in game journo mode and actually feel they had a good game experience.

Also it's been out for years now and there's a many bugs as ever, that's insane. Ended the ship AI/Nomos shit before it began and suddenly the AI lives in my servitors and act like that's a choice I made instead of having it destroyed.

For what reason would you go easy mode? Seems like a self-inflicted problem. Just play a harder difficulty and abuse the officer extra turn ability like everybody else.

Because I wanted to get back to where I was before my game got fucked without spending +22 hours doing so. But in doing so it exposed how there's nothing to the game except the combat and without it to artificially prolong the gameplay, it's just a mediocre VN.
