over 100hz and variable refresh rate technology is enough

144 hz spoiled me. Even 60 started to feel laggy and janky to me.

No, a youtube thumbnail is enough for zoomers who use meme tech like VRR
Anonymous No.714549878 [Report]

well you're in luck I'm not a zoomer
>meme tech
if it's such a meme tech surely you can explain why?

but your image shows that the 240hz monitor is still too slow
so why would you get one

>uses $3k gaming station and 2k monitor just to watch youtube and play old games
a tale as old as time

1,920hz or no go.

The higher the refresh, the lower the need for VRR. I don't use it at all on my 360hz OLED. I see zero tearing. My 240hz LCD requires it.

Just aim bro

No I play new games on it
Old games get played on the CRT

I hadn't thought of it like that but it makes sense that once you get high enough hz the next refresh is going to be pretty quick after a new frame no matter what your fps is
Anonymous No.714550549 [Report] >>714550647
I prefer 30 FPS because it is more cinematic. Prove me wrong. Protip: </spoiler> you can't <spoiler>

Having a monitor with nice colors is a bigger difference than you'd think.

>2K monitor
Rookie mistake. Buy a 42" LG.
Anonymous No.714551745 [Report]
I'm sure 240hz is amazing.

I will never buy the hardware to run games at 240fps, very few games are good, and even fewer need that investment.

I have a 240hz monitor and I literally don't care at all. In fact I heard it might be the reason my monitor is going to shit in less than a year, the bottom of my monitor has a striped flickering effect that has been getting worse in stages slowly creeping up my monitor and online i've heard it's because it can't handle 240hz non-stop or something. Faggots better give me a new one when I send it in.

Anyways, my second monitor is a decade old 60 fps monitor and I can see the difference between the two, don't care. over 60 is overrated

VRR is a scam.

Disabled that dogshit so OLED would finally stop flickering. Noticed ZERO difference. Tested a bunch of different horizontally and vertically scrolling games at different framerates, and even recorded them with a 240fps slow-mo camera, checked the frame timing and checked the lag. ZERO difference.

Yeah, people who say that are stupid. Realistically, you could go all the way to 2000Hz and still see benefits.
It's just that increasing monitor refresh rate has diminishing returns. You'll never see as big of a change as going from 60Hz to 120Hz, even if you go all the way to something idiotic like 1000 GHz

>i am totally fine with paying thousands of dollars for a modern screen with motion blur
Why are you like this?
Anonymous No.714554386 [Report]
>>714550080
We literally need 960hz to get rid of motion blur with our current shitty panel tech (LCD/OLED).
