It'll work with basically any USB-C dock. I just popped mine into the one I use for my phone when I still used it. Spend a lot more time at home now so the deck isn't getting used in favor of my my PC.

this was a genuine HIRE THIS MAN moment for me, it works great as long as you don't put an sdcard into the dock because it gets toasty

This, but you also have slightly better dongles.
So its more 40 bucks vs 80.

Dunno if this is an anti-Deck thread in retaliation for the Switch 2 getting dunked on, but at least the Deck lets you use whatever the fuck dock you want.
(Disclaimer: I'm a PC+chinkheld user and probably always will be, fuck consoles and fuck proprietary shit.

Bought this Anker one for 30€, works very nicely
My only gripe with it is that it doesn't support USB-C displayport output but it's whatever
Also that there's no switch to disable the display output, so I have to leave the HDMI unplugged if I don't want it to switch to my display once I dock the deck.
Valve can sell whatever the fuck. It's the equivalent to a laptop and as such I can plug anything in there and it'll work. I can plug an external SSD and it'll work. I can use a random input device no one has heard of and it'll work as long as linux supports it. I can plug my dualsense and I can use all its gimmicks the same way I do on PC. It's not proprietary shit, the official shit doesn't do anything special. It's not an apple device where you're at the mercy of manufacturers meeting very specific standards so you don't get cucked.

>universal compatibility
>except the tendie switchie
kek. why do people willingly purchase devices with locked down ecosystems? what kind of person wants less freedom with their technology?

Using the dock for the switch at all is retarded since it's a handheld

none of the cheap ones had displayport 1.4 when the deck dock came out

the bottom one doesn't even have a stand, which kills the point
