There's a common club game called balls on the bar. Everyone gets drunk to the point they can't feel their balls, and then sit leaning forward so that they dangle beneath the stool. Participants then have to pick a random number between 1 and 100. If you guess the wrong number, the bartender quietly sneaks behind you and cuts your balls off. They hand you the card after.

A bartender's job is managing the scene at the establishment as much as serving drinks. Having someone get visibly drunk is a huge liability, they disrupt other guests, get aggressive, and the bar may be liable if they get a customer drunk then they drive and kill someone. The bartender has the final say on if someone gets served alcohol or not. They can quietly tell you that you've had enough and if you want a taxi called, or get you thrown out.

There could be any number of reasons for it. For me, it was that one of the barkeeps really didn’t like me for some reason, so anytime I made the mistake of interacting with her, she’d tell the other barkeeps to cut me off or have the bouncer escort me out.

Then again, I think I was pretty bothersome when I was at the bar. I’d usually get pretty shitfaced and try striking up conversations with random people who usually didn’t want to be bothered by some drunk idiot lmao. Fuck.

Imagine getting drunk at a bar.
Get drinks at your place and have your friends/roommates over. If you're up for it, invite friends and make it into a house party. That's the best way to socialize with alcohol. Once you get wasted or just tired, you can just go to your room and pass out.

>Isn't it illegal to deny service anyway
Only if there's no susbtantial reason for it.
Refusing service because you're gay or black is illegal, doing so because you're getting a bit violent is fair game.
Given that a bar owner makes money by offering you a service, denying it is often done for a good reason. That's why you rarely see court cases of people fighting because they were thrown out of a bar, because either people aknowledges it and leaves or elevate the situation until polcie gets involved and at that point there's no excuses to make.

The trick is to start recording, and order non-alcoholic drinks. If they still refuse you know they're being discriminatory. Especially since anyone drunk enough to be reasonably cut off would be able to fucking read that card.

I highly doubt you'd be refused service if you order non-alcoholic drinks . the whole point is to avoid getting you more drunk, as long as this middle ground can be reached, both sides would be fine with it.
But usually they're not, as the client still demands more alcohol.

Meanwhile I can stay at home and do whatever for a fraction of price.

ehhh youre being a little too harsh i think, going to a bar alone is extremely normal, it's a social area, people go there to meet new people or make new friends or to just hang out and chat with strangers.

And if you do that, then you eventually stop going alone, or you aren't alone all the time. You're not the type of guy I'm talking about, unless you keep failing at it and sit there dirnking until the waitress hands you the card.

>>714571413
Nah, plenty of lonely ppeople go to bars due the resons other anon said, but if they're fuckups or loners then they still have a bad time and end up drunk. All bars have those usual clients who come, drink until they can barely walk and leave, and who's best friend there is the bar owner.
Sometimes they're just a local dude that comes and goes, sometimes they're the ones that get too drunk.
But at the end of the day, if you check all the people that usually goes alone at bars, msot will lean on the loner, dangerous or dunktard side than the well adjusted one.

I'm being generous and assuming the card wasn't given for getting ass blasted drunk. Realistically they just don't like you. The type of person to give you that card is the same type of cuck who thinks everyone will bend to their social violence (and most people do because they don't know better).

You'd be surprised, my dad's a real extrovert and loves chatting up strangers. At the bar, restaurants, everywhere. I usually don't approach people like that myself but some alcohol in you helps if you're awkward and people love talking about themselves. It's how he met his current girlfriend actually, they just got talking at our usual Chinese restaurant.

A pub is a restaurant but won't serve you anything if you don't have ID. A bar won't even card you if you don't order alcohol.
