It's been years we know the answer in reality. It doesn't have any significant impact. People do translate games that already have mtls as a matter of fact. Sometimes people do it because the mtl brought attention to the game even, which probably evens out against the people who will refuse to pick up games that have them already.

This is a matter of fact at this point because we've had years to see the actual impact and the rate that real translations come out has increased in the MTL era if anything. This is probably due to other factors, but point is, we have definitive proof that MTLs have not managed to kill real translations like we feared years ago

DLSite translations that are put out by the circle are AI 99% of the time as well.
