I wish she could be used as a character for narrative fluff purposes. In between stages, the player could visit Cream and Vanilla, where the player could then have optional stages to play.
Now to be extra selfish, these stages result in cutscenes where Vanilla keeps pulling Cream away because adventuring is too dangerous for her. And so with every optional stage you beat, Cream keeps getting fatter and fatter because her mom's stuffing her in hopes she'll be too fat to try and sneak out the house. But of course she will, and her gameplay will change with each noticeable change in size, from horizontal gliding and precision to stages where you're basically just bouncing around with a button press to make the bounce even more powerful if necessary. Her stages could essentially be golf and she's the big fat fuckin golf ball.
