I would say Dark Souls is harder.
Degrees of Lewdity is harder than your average RPG but pretty low difficulty when comes to other hardcore games.
I can pretty consistently win 1v1s or even 1v3s now, that I have maxed out physique and sadism. With animals, it's even easer because they act on a honorary code where they only attack you one at a time.
Honestly, what's much worse than the difficultry is the psychic damage you take irl when you lose a fight. This game takes "making you wish you got killed by your enemy" to a whole new level.

You're not missing much. The prison is dogshit. Every day is the same routine:
>6am: Shower (chance to get raped if you fail a dance check) + breakfast (no unique events to speak of besides sitting on the Scarred Inmate's lap)
>7am-12pm: Work at the laundry/clinic/spire, each of which only has 3-4 unique events that you'll exhaust within 2 days of working there
>12pm: Lunch (no unique events to speak of)
>1pm: Free time. Chat with the Veteran Guard, have consensual encounters with the inmates, or solicit shark teeth from Kylar to trade with Wren on Fridays
>2-6pm: Work (again, same shit)
>6pm: Dinner (the exact same as breakfast, but there's a pointless event with Kylar instead of the Scarred Inmate)
>7pm: Free time. Either do fuck all, or initiate a gangbang with the Scarred Inmate to avoid getting an attention event the next day
>8pm-6am: Sleep or chip away at your wall for 120 cumulative fucking hours to get to the secret beach (which you can also reach immediately just by having S rank skulduggery)
The attention system is essentially worthless and can be easily bypassed. You'd have to forgo the Scarred Inmate's protection to get an attention event, and all they really amount to is initiating a samey "press Next to have fun" gangbang. The punishments are interesting on paper, but despite there being 12 of them, the end result for each (besides Damnation) is just more non-consensual encounters. Your goal while in prison is either to:
>befriend the guards to learn their names, so that Wren can smuggle you out
>befriend the watchers, so you can swim away from the secret beach
>deactivate the shock collars and raise Hope and Rebelliousness to 80+ each, so you can incite a rebellion and escape
All of which just amount to repeating the same couple of events ad nauseam to cause incremental increases to an invisible stat so you can escape. Some of the other soft bad ends are pretty shit, but the prison especially is a microcosm of everything I hate about DoL.
