If you have an Nvidia card and a 4K monitor, you're using DLSS for sure. And the definition of a "4K card" widens considerably, even a 4070 Ti is a 4K card in that scenario.

Got 9800x3d and 5070ti and barely get 70fps when maxing MH Wilds @1440p (no dlss).

So yeah I guess the 5080 isnt a 4k card either.

Only if you're talking about native 4k or want to always max out a 240hz display. But the good news is that DLSS is BETTER when upscaling to 4k than it is when upscaling to lower resolutions.

Honestly, fair. DLSS does have a few artifacts weird situational artifacts, but then again, so does native TAA. I think DLSS is worth it for the performance and overall IQ increase, particularly with transformer model motion clarity.

It HAS to be a moving target to ensure that certain groups convince themselves nobody should ever go above 1080p. If 4k was "easy" to run then it would mean admitting 1080p isn't end goal perfection and that cannot happen under any circumstances.

If you want higher than native 60fps you better enable that sloppy framegen or rely on upscaling, choose your path western man. I personally chose framegen as you can use a dual GPU method via LSFG instead of nigger aids nvidia DLSS and get much lower end to end latency, like over 10ms lower than DLSS framegen.

Unless you're using it for its real intended purpose (60+ to 120 etc.), there's just something non-white and third-world about framegen.

All those videos with new games, GTX 1650, low settings, FSR quality and FSR framegen (or even Lossless Scaling framegen) to 58 FPS. I know it's you Americans and other brown thirdies playing like that.

The 5080 is a 4k card for sure, although you have to get comfy lowering the graphics settings and using dlss, since njudea has completely abandoned generational improvements and they're now just releasing the same gpu but with improved RT and tensor cores, with all the performance coming from increased power and faster vram.

I own a 4090 and use a secondary rx6400 for LSFG to play at 1440p using DLSS quality for upscaling and AA and then push my native 60fps to the 120+ range. Works amazingly for everything but frame perfect multiplayer fighting games.

Anon, thats great and all and prolly 100% correct, but dont give people advice based on that. My 4090 struggled with some games at 4k WITH dlss and that card is almost a 2x. A couple of years I would assume is until the 70 series, and I dont even see a 4090 hold up at 1440p 60 by then.
