Want to make some rooms for you and anons to play?
Go to "friends", "Register a Friend" and add the friend code of the host. Press a and then b to back out to the wifi menu, then go back to "Friends", "Find a Friend" and click them. You should now be in the lobby and should wait for others. Eazy! Btw for anyone wanting to make a open lobby in this game, just go to friends, and press the + button. read the message and select ok. just post your friend code in the thread and others can join.
(note: if it says "unable to join" the lobby is currently racing, you need to wait some minutes for the races to finish and the lobby to open again)

we can check with the others once they're here if they are fine with it. personally i prefer something like kissu or lainchan since this place mandates JS+cloudflare, non existent janitors and the userbase is toxic, but whatever you like is fine. we're not that many after all, we're like 15-20 i think.

I remember that mode being pretty fun in CTGP back when that was big.

I really gotta relearn a lot of the tech in this game. Last MK games I had played extensively prior was 8 Deluxe and I’m constantly getting my ass kicked as a result.

If you're the white-haired Mii player, the inside drift bikes play very differently from anything else in the franchise. If you're used to later MK games, might be worth giving the karts a go since the mechanics aren't too different, and 8 features like pink boosts have been backported.

I’m the anon that uses the generic Player Mii as a icon and plays Yoshi. I’ve mostly used Karts the whole time, but I’d like to figure out how to use inside drift bikes effectively, because I completely forgot what kind of cool shit you can do with them.

Actually, in general, there’s a lot of tech behind this game I’m unfamiliar with. I didn’t even fucking know standing Mini-Turbos were a thing until recently.

That last track was pure shit for 200cc.
