Nobody is going to go through the effort of installing the game, the mods, the grind necessary, and upload their Garden. God bless the Communal Garden anon for his effort.

There are tools, but it blows my mind sega doesn't have cloud saving built in. I guess that would require actually modifying the base code, which they likely don't even have anymore.

It really wouldn't. It's pretty much just a box the dev has to tick in steam to enable cloud saves. They just didn't for some reason.

What happened? How? The last time it just needed an additional vcredist or some shit. I also looked up on game banana and it hasn’t updated in like two months. Is this just talking about the time it broke the first time?

The most recent CWE update (from like two months ago) now requires the SA2 Render Fix mod for the day/night cycle to work. For some reason on Linux it doesn't detect that SA2 Render Fix is installed though, so it disables the day/night cycle automatically. Other than that it works.

Got recommended some "sonic and chill" video on youtube. Too much work to download the full 16:9 mp4 clip, so here's a phone cropped version from the creators instagram.
The art reminds me of some of the retro renders that get posted here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6oEC4fpBhQ

Good thinking, but that's not it. I just realized I'm retarded. I had a mod called "rendering fixes" enabled, not "sa2 render fix". Fuck me

I check on mine once a week. For some reason the shadow chao sings badly and makes all other chao around miserable. I don't know what causes that but its funny to see.
Man I haven't played SA2 in a while, all the cool mods for the Chao Garden look giga comfy. Lotus reminds me a LOT of a Swim Hero Chao I used to love except mine had seal parts instead of glasses. I assume all the weird bugs that the PC version have like two tone shinies are fixed with the mod?

Yeah you actually have options because Chao World Extended lets you change a chao from the bugged bright chao texture -> corrected shiny two-tone texture if you give said chao a shiny fruit.
