I was speaking in comparison to the retro gaming scene. Moving from current/modern day gaming communities, news, and releases to older and retro game communities is a noticable shift in activity, discussion and content. I'd say it's probably because the major discussions have all been had by and large. Even worse for me is I don't care about collecting games and showing them off, so the current big discussion of physical games (not necessarily preservation since GOG and emulation exist for the preservation piece) is lost on me.

We haven’t even begun to push the PS5 to its limits yet—so why are we already talking about a PS6? Likely, most “PS6-exclusive” games will still be fully playable on PS5 anyway. Compared to the PS4 at this stage in its lifecycle, the PS5 still has so much untapped potential.
