the salarians shouldn't have uplifted the krogans in the first place, rather dump something like the genophage on the rachni

Salarians should have just left Krogans the fuck alone when they were still a primitive race. By themselves they would have never invented FTL travel in the next several thousand years.

the genophage only set krogan back to pre industrial numbers since so many were expected to die young but once uplifted and off tuchanka they no longer had to deal with predators so while I think the genophage was a mistake and curing it is the right option the krogan could have rebuilt tuchanka without it if they just needed to stop joining the bloodpack and dyeing on omega

Bruh the genophage did not cause an inability to be inseminated, it caused stillbirths. The main issue was not the Krogan's dwindling numbers, it would have stabilized one way or naother after a while, the issue was torturing an entire species with making them see their children come out dead by the billions.

Yeah, the genophage was never designed to kill off the krogan or even significantly shrink their number. That was just an unexpected cultural consequence of fucking with their reproductive rate.

It was either the genophage orgenocide . Limiting their ability to breed was the moderate solution.
