Game looks like more of an ordeal than a good time.
I don't know how else to explain it. It's why I haven't tried Expedition 33 yet. Just not into something that I have to take seriously and be invested in. Don't have the energy right now.

I either do something right or I don't. If I'm gonna half-ass a game (especially if it's good, like E33 seems to be) I'd rather not touch it and wait for a time where I have more willpower.

Until then I replay the same shit I've always replayed like Warband or grand strat games

some friends were trying to get me to play xenoblade chronicles 2 but during the conversation my laptop locked up so badly i had to restart it
then i had to restart it 6 more times because it couldn't detect any connected speaker devices (even though it's a laptop so the speakers are built in)
i took this as a sign from god that i was meant to never ever ever play xenoblade chronicles 2 under any circumstances
which is fine by me, i'll stick to working my crank to images of pyra like a civilized person

When mods, fan patches, and so on are considered required by the community. I try to rationalize it by saying if a game has performance problems, that's on the devs to fix, not the community. But in reality, I'm so ridiculously lazy that I tend not to bother with mods in general, especially after losing the email address tied to my NexusMods account.
