You can even beat the whole game using roulette moves and unleashing the god hand whenever you can, the difficulty comes in NOT using that, hence the few differences if you hold yourself back (Tiger Joe saying you're badass for not using God moves on him, the Kick Me sign challenge, etc). You don't have to be 'talented' to beat God Hand, just don't suck at video games, anon-kun

most of the casino is removed from some versions of the game, I beat it thrice and never stepped foot in there because I didn't know it existed
As for the Axe kick its stick up + triangle, you can only do it on downed enemies right next to you. Kinda like a charged punch but it's a getup juggle to get someone off the ground if you're fast enough.
Also for juggle moves, they straight up say they juggle enemies in the description whenever you set them up in your move list. Some chain better than others, charged punch is actually really difficult for doing juggles unless you're nearly frame perfect and really know what you're doing.

Literally any of the high evade moves, the most notable of which being Hand Plant Kick which has the high evade property and pops enemies into the air high enough to juggle. Double Snap Kick is also busted for being the only move that can send elite enemies above head height for follow-ups without counter-hit.

You get less money with tons of deaths, I think. But it very well could be I am wrong again, I never actually counted the enemies, just know I always had enough for what I needed, or simply bought it on my next visit in the shop (upgrades and shit)

If you hit an enemy in a perfect moment you slam them in the face with a similar effect to the guard-break, that's probably what you're thinking of. It's additional stagger and damage, but hard to pull off
For juggles different skills can do different heights, an easy way to juggle enemies I found was to simply bind a juggle on triangle and down+ triangle (Or was it up+triangle? Whichever the slot you could assign moves to was, besides just basic triangle). Juggle into juggle and then the enemy should be at the right level for a spin-kick, but it might depend on juggle moves used

God Hands scaling difficulty is the greatest mechanic in any game ever made. I've never experienced the rush of locking in and styling on enemies while the difficulty keeps ramping up. Insane that no other game has copied this feature.

Early game is quite easy to get juggle parries, and I count that as a parry because you input things in the perfect moment to interrupt enemy attacks

Some bosses do suck but you can dodge through everything they fire at you. The fatter bosses you can't outright guardbreak and have to backflip every three punches aren't really fun though, I agree.

It's fun, and difficult. If you do end up playing it, the jank will probably scare you, but once you wrangle it you will feel the power.
In my personal experience I've struggled greatly on my first playthrough until I reached the 'Rival' of the game (think Vergil/Sam insert in a character action game) who whooped my ass for a good hour until I started getting faster and faster and then things finally clicked. It was like achieving CHIM. I've spoken to a few friends who also beat it and they had a similar experience, so I wouldn't outright write it off if you struggle as long as you have fun when you actually win

I don't want to shill someone else's channel but among many other videos this guy put down like 3 or 4 walkthroughs of God Hand with combo videos and most importantly tips, I learned some tricks from watching the man at work. I recommend checking his playlists if you're interested. I don't think any other game gave me more pure unfiltered fun of trashing goons on Die! difficulty.

God Hand on normal for someone that is not getting the primary mechanics (guard break, launches, ducking, etc.) is going to stay at level 1 throughout and isn't going to take more than a basic level of perseverance. The game is extremely easy at level 1 and someone mashing buttons can faceroll through in about 10 hours with some lucky drops. If someone has the patience to get through Gold and Silver (who are NOT hard at level 1) then they can beat the game.

It's funny to me that people try to compare Dark Souls to God Hand just because ironically most of the difficulty comes from the same thing: the game being obtuse.

The main difference is that Dark Souls is catalogued better than most academic subjects while God Hand info is scattered and still full of rumors and hearsay.

Like things talking about enemies raging like it does anything but make them run at you, or the idea that attacks animate faster if you're doing right-left-right-left or if you're staying on the same side, etc.

Chin Music and Left Jab are good combo starters because of their fast startup
Yes Man Kablaam dodge cancel spam on dizzy enemies is broken as fuck
Mule Kick and Hand Plant Kick are both easy-mode setups for the built-in shoryuken (back+triangle in front of juggled enemy) or jumping roundhouse (forward+triangle in front of juggled enemy), both have frames where your upper hitbox is gone with hand plant kick having more.
Drunken fall is crowd control for people that can't figure out counterhits
Drunken twist dodge cancel spam is an I-Win button for some of the most annoying fights in the game
High Side Kick launch duck cancels against the wall are the most efficient damage in the game
Mach Speed Jab is amazing for building stun

I have personally watched total idiots smash buttons and beat the game on normal, fighting almost everything at 1 with a few kills at 2.
I agree that the game on hard is insanely difficult and most people probably couldn't get past the first level, but on normal the game is definitely accessible to the average player.
Hard is so much more difficult that it may as well be an entirely different game.

to add on top of this, multi-hit moves are fun to have but each hit counts for the enemies' counter of hits before they start guarding, meaning if a multi-hit move is too early in your combo you will trigger a guard and immediately mash it to likely get shoved. Go test it in-game if you don't believe me, rank up to 3 or Die! and test reactions and damage with and without taunting. Granted my claims about their speed might be just due to switches from difficutly 3 to Die! while playing, but a gamefaqs guide from 2006 seems to prove me right. The damage part is 100% true though.

It's not, and neither is that. The "enraged" (red-face) status literally has one single effect: on pathfinding. It does nothing else.

Although I do have an issue with how the game has no real tutorials or mechanic descriptions and does shit like hide important moves/commands in the paper manual. It's not reasonable to expect random people to intuitively understand what a counterhit is or how to dodge cancel.

You are literally correct but chose two examples that work against your point
What is actually not intuitive is inputs on enemies when they are in the air or on the ground
There is no way you would just think to do forward triangle when they are in the air, this combination does nothing otherwise

I loaded up an old save before bed just to test. Both are the same light jab from the kung-fu masters in venice level.
First, not hit.
Second, hit unraged.
Third, same hit but taunted. I ran away and taunted for a while to bait him into doing the same attack and got hit by it once. Feel free to count the pixels but I already did and the damage was increased, it's a % based increase. It's much more noticeable on stronger attacks, like that monk's kick can obliterate most of your HP as opposed to just half on Die! if you taunt him. Or Tiger Joe can do a lot more damage with his already strong as fuck kicks if annoyed/taunted and he lands a hit during the rage.
I'd make a video but it's too late here and I don't want to cut out the minute of me running and baiting to get the same attack again when enraged.
