Before it got overdone I really liked the “finding out they gods are just really powerful people” thing in fantasy, like dragon age. But then it turned into things like dos where they still call them gods and treat them as gods even after finding out, which makes no sense.

Thanks. I like that NPC a lot. The aspect you interact the most with is supposed to represent maternity, and I think it fit how gentle and kind it was throughout the questline. The little quotes it has also characterized it pretty well. You almost forget that it is directly responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people.
It's also funny that the MC gets close to this foreign god since he generally has bad experiences with them. There is one that constantly tries to flatter him, and he absolutely HATES it whenever it starts talking.

The "proper" definition of God is fairly distinct from the likes of Zeus or Odin or Osiris or whatever. I do recall that Greek stories usually have civilization slowing decaying overtime as humans become further and further separated from the gods, but don't quote me on that.

I like Citadel and Beyond Citadel's lore unironically and sincerely, yes, even the shota sex part. It's actually perfect and explains why the Martyr is a horrible sinner (in the eyes of the demons and angels) yet can't be punished for it as her brother defended her and claimed that, actually, it was he who forced himself onto her. For that, he was punished as an incestuous rapist when actually she was the one guilty. Since he paid for her crime, she cam both carry sin and be immune to it's punishment.. It takes balls, balls western writers don't have, to make your sympathetic and tragic protagonist a rapist. Truly based. A testament to the stories westerners can't write because their faggot sense of moralfaggot indignation won't allow it. Kill all moralfags.

Is it even moralfaggotry at that point? I think Westerners sometimes just have a rough time at distinguishing between a character's actions and how the narrative depicts them. A lot of older writers were a lot more prudish than today's, but they were still able to write morally ambiguous MCs.
Anyways, I like a lot of indie games like Citadel and Black Souls because it's just one guy's vision

the Valhalla government commited the single largest human death incident as an inside job to route out anti-nationalist dissidents. This worked primarily by using targetted advertising to lure them all into one district before detonating the super mega nuke killing everyone.

However they suck so much at running a city state that people have already begun forming anti-nationalist movements not even a decade later. The spoonists are a co-opted terrorist organization filled with glowies that exist to round up anti-nationalists and assimilate other criminal elements to bait them to leave the city on a religious pilgramage. And during their activities the deepstate employed child soldiers and assassins to kill key leaders of various criminal organizations, destabilizing them and allowing them to be more easily co-opted by the spoonists. After leaving for their pilgramage the government deepstate will use PMCs and other criminal organizations to hunt them down and kill them in international land outside of anyone's jurisdiction.

The background to everything is that notRome got nuked repeatedly while they fought several "demons", while being assisted by several gods

>What's more, they're really, REALLY pissed because the notRoman scientists tried to trick them into becoming slaves, and now want to either enslave or kill humanity, even the last remaining "good" entity
