Flotsam is incredibly uncomfy on your first two playthroughs because everyone and everything feels so hostile.
But once you sort of understand the layout and where everything is, it gets really comfy.
Also the fact that Triss, Dandelion, Zoltan, and Roche are with you in the town makes it more agreeable.
Not exactly a top home spot, but still good.

There's that Flashback section in dark souls 2. Granted its during the Giants' attack on Drangleic but its DURING the Shittening, not 100 years after or however long the usual dark souls affair waits to take place.
The Roundtable Hold in ER originally wasn't the hub, it was going to be a village safely tucked away from the rest of the Lands Between where you could guide NPCs back to and had some soldiers and villagers who fled and settled there.
At least there's Jarburg

Considering Square lost the code for the pre-rendered backgrounds for FF9, I'd say the 3d render the fan made is really good. The hard work fans did to recreate the prerendered backgrounds and upscale them is deeply appreciated by old fans like me.

The Town on Gorkhon is objectively a pretty awful place to live in, and even worse during a Sand Pest outbreak. However, getting to explore it outside of the outbreak would be absolutely incredible to me.

So much character and so much strange lore, so many strange customs and stories and oddball characters to meet.
I can see myself spending literal years just studying the parallel culture of the local children, or researching the Steppe people's folklore and mythology. It's also a small town, and the odds of you getting into good graces with someone like Lara or Yulia or even Capella seems pretty high, which could have all manner of benefits.

It seems like an incredibly intresting, and bittersweet place to live in. Not comfy or even comfortable, but it's one of the few virtual places I've seen that feels as fascinating as reality is.

I am saying that the game revolves around a certain geographical area (eastern Europe) in a specific time period (around 1920), with fantasy elements.

If you say you would like to live in the flying Polyhedron, sure.
If you say you would like to live in one of the houses that is supposed to represent the architecture of the mentioned area in that specific time period, I am free to tell you "hey, that's funny because that's what a house in Poland in the year 1920 looked like" and therefore have this friendly banter how it's ironic that you chose this as your dream living place.

If I told you I'd like to live in the beach house apartment in GTA 5, I wouldn't be surprised you telling me "lol that's just modern day California". Because it's the fundamental setting.
I would not reply with "ackchually, it's a fictional setting because you see, it's an island and there are flying bikes and everyone has a railgun, so it's just fantasy".

Not him but probably, I think it's pretty hard to get even for experienced players

I mean basically everyone ITT who picked a fantasy village is choosing a rural pre-industrial life style.

That's just peak humanity desu. Enough comforts to make life bearable and cozy, not so much technology that it corrupts everything it touches and leads to social decay. 1500-1800 was peak humanity, change my mind (you can't).

>I am saying that the game revolves around a certain geographical area (eastern Europe) in a specific time period (around 1920), with fantasy elements.
Except it doesn't.

Again... what are you even trying to achieve here?

>If you say you would like to live in the flying Polyhedron, sure.
You do not have the faintest clue what polyhedron is. Why bring up a concept that is completely unknown to you?

>"hey, that's funny because that's what a house in Poland in the year 1920 looked like"
You would be wrong about that.
Again? What. Is. The. Point. Of this?

>If I told you I'd like to live in the beach house apartment in GTA 5, I wouldn't be surprised you telling me "lol that's just modern day California".
If you insisted that GTA5 is based off Dunwall from Dishonored 1, this analogy would be appropriate.

That isn't the case here, so I have no fucking clue what you are talking about at this point.

That's why I like Majora more than Oot. The depth it possessed for me as a child was very moving. You can revisit story sections, get different results. It's very immersive and I don't know why other games haven't tried similar things.

You must be trolling at this point.

>Except it doesn't.
Just saying "it doesn't" doesn't make it untrue. Look at the buildings. Look at the interior. Look at the furniture. Look at the items used by the people. It points towards a trend. Spoiler: It's not Africa in the year 400 BC.

>You do not have the faintest clue what polyhedron is. Why bring up a concept that is completely unknown to you?
Is the simple statement of "I want to live here" too much to comprehend for you or do I need a PhD in philosophy first to describe what the Polyhedron is supposed to be and represent from a metaphysical standpoint?
It's an enormous building.
I want to live there.
Done deal.

>You would be wrong about that.
>Again? What. Is. The. Point. Of this?
Again, not refuting why I am wrong about the location and time period.

>If you insisted that GTA5 is based off Dunwall from Dishonored 1, this analogy would be appropriate.
It seems you have connections to Kojima because of all how much crack you are smoking to come up with such bizarre garbage.

If you're trolling, you win.
If you're not, rope yourself to minimize the damage you inflict on the people close to you with the horseshit you are spewing.

>Just saying "it doesn't" doesn't make it untrue.
The game takes place on the edge of a vast, essentially endless, cold, high-altitude steppe, you absolute fucking retard.
If you think those exist in eastern europe, then you do not know what eastern europe is.

The architecture also actually looks absolutely NOTHING like eastern european architecture. In fact, most of it is based off a very twisted reimagination of Parisian and Vienna Succession, which is about as far from a Polish or Hungarian small town as you can get.

Your entire argument is based off the fact that this game you NEVER PLAYED makes you think about region you DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT, and that somehow makes you confident you understand the subject better than people who played hundreds of hours of it.

Do you realize that this is beyond regular narcissism, and entering a world of completely deranged delusions of grandeur, right? As in: You are quite literally, severely mentally ill. You need professional medical intervention.

>Is the simple statement of "I want to live here" too much to comprehend for you
You do not know what polyhedron is. You cannot even begin making assumptions about what "living in it" would entail.
"living in polyhedron" does not mean anything. Because how it is explicitly defined to operate. But you don't know this because you have never played these games.

Yet you insist you understand them better than I do.
WHY?

>Again, not refuting why I am wrong about the location and time period.
You can't refute ignorance, my deeply retarded child. You can just point at it in frustration, or maybe laugh.

>If you're trolling, you win.
I'm entirely sincere. I'm also deeply worried about the safety of people around you. Without an actual intervention, you will become a threat to people around you. You need medical attention.
