For instance, a woman looks for a man in good social standing, someone who has lots of friends, is well liked, and will elevate her own status. She wants someone who provides and puts food on the table. She wants someone who will make her feel good, sometimes emotionally like she's desired and loved and sometimes sexually. She doesn't care as much about a man already having a kid with another woman or being a virgin or anything like that, if anything being a virgin is sort of a black mark because it means other women haven't validated him as a dating candidate.

Men on the other hand mostly want someone who will give them kids, looks pretty, and isn't going to drag them down. It'd be nice to have someone who shares interests with you or actually cares, but these are really secondary to the above. For most men, they're not worried about marrying someone who will provide financially for them, nor do they care what social circle the woman runs in. It's mostly transactional. I'm not saying this as a "oh, this is terrible and sucks and you should never date" sort of thing, I'm saying you have to figure out what women want and look for in a man if you want to date them. Trying to approach the idea of dating based on what men want, or in other words based on logical desires isn't going to work when you're approaching hormonal creatures who only occasionally have flashes of long term planning. It's a recipe for frustration because you won't understand why you keep getting turned down.
