I can't think of anything more subjective than what one finds fun
For rpgs, I find turn based, grinding, getting over leveled and essentially providing myself no challenge in exchange for annihilating everything including final and secret bosses, to be fun
I find DDR to be fun
I find NO fun in open world, games that painstakingly try to look real, games that "NEED" to have some big epic engaging etc. plot, games with online play wether mandatory or optional because so much of the development will go towards online leaving yhe campaign/ solo experience feeling way lesser, and so on
