If Sega ever tries another Sonic RPG, what they should do is have the basic story be Sonic and friends have to liberate thirteen areas of the world from Eggman and his twelve top minions, his Eggman's Dozen as it were.
>chapter one is the intro, Eggman and his generals launch their assault and capture much of the planet
>chapters two through thirteen are defeating each of the generals and freeing their controlled areas
>chapter fourteen is the assault on Eggman's base
Have Metal Sonic and Sage as recurring bosses with new strategies and gimmicks in each fight. And do NOT make the battle gameplay a horribly-done Elite Beat Agents knockoff.
